  1. with respect to the proof of every triangle is isosceles:

    the issue is with the figure (its misleading as it is geometrically incorrect). the point of intersection G should be outside the triangle... unlike as shown. As a consequence the line segments do not add up as shown to result in the edges.

    It become clear when you draw a geometrically exact ( (more or less)) figure.
